This improved Old Fashioned variation offers a more intense drinking experience. The aromatics are kicked into overdrive with the addition of Fernet, a deeply bitter and herbaceous liqueur. A small measure of this liqueur is more than enough to cut through the rich spice of the Rye Whiskey and demerara syrup. A few drops Cardamom Extract ensures a mentholated kick of fernet. Recommended if you like Old Fashioneds, Manhattans and Boulevardiers.
